While we all prefer to have a few glasses of wine or rum over great conversations and perhaps a bit of guitar, we typically head to San Juan del Sur once or twice a week to take in the local expat restaurants, surfer bars, and general party scene. Inevitably a few stay behind and the morning breakfast table is never short of hilarious stories, conflicting memories, and occasionally a new guest or two. To fully appreciate the beauty of San Juan del Sur, we recommend heading into town on an afternoon shuttle and spending some time at one of the upper infinity pools of Pelican Eyes. For dinner, we recommend El Colibre for delicious Mediterranean cuisine, Pau Hana for the best Hawaiian burger in Central America, or Republika for televised sports, good tunes, and great vibes.
